Heart Rate Watch

Just got myself a heart rate watch to help me exercise more. To effectively exercise you have to get your heart rate up to 65 to 80% of your max heart rate. Maximum heart rate is 220 - your age.

Do u need a chest strap (heart beat sensor)to go with the watch or the watch itself is a sensor i.e. no chest strap needed?

It comes with a chest strap but you don't have to use it. It has anytouch sensors so you just have to touch the metal rim of the watch and it takes a continuous reading of your pulse. Not bad.

I got it at KMart for Aaud89 but I think you can buy it online. The main difference is the anytouch technology which is much better than the usual pulse watches in which you have to press a button then take the pulse. With this one you only have to touch the metal rim of the watch and your pulse is continuously monitored in about 2 seconds.
