Deep Impact hits its target

Their aim was true, their rocket steady. Deep Impact successfully hit the comet Tempel 1 at approximately 1:55am EST on July 4th. Chalk one up for NASA!

Comment : Now lets hope it doesn't break the comet in 2 and send it straight towards earth!
