Doctors Can Advertise in Malaysia but...

Excerpt from the Star Newspaper

"As of June 28, doctors, hospitals and clinics can advertise and publish their services, names, disciplines, addresses, credentials and photographs but with prior approval from the Medical Advertisement Board. This information is allowed in newspapers, websites and telephone directories (see Infographic).
However, superlatives like “best” to describe the services provided are not allowed and doctors cannot state their years of practice.
Health Director-General Datuk Dr Ismail Merican said there was no set format to the advertisements but they have to adhere to the guidelines."

Hmm time to add my details to my Blogsite! But sometimes as a doctor it's not how good you are, but how good your patients think you are. Running a clinic on your own is not easy, it's a balance between medical ethics and business acumen. I'm still learning.
