Windows Phone 7 Series
Microsoft has unvieled it's latest operating system designed to replace it's dated Windows Mobile 6.5. Is it a winner? We will have to wait and see.
I was using WM 10 years ago when Palm and WM were the main operating systems. 3 years ago the iPhone has taken over the world with it's innovative, very propriatary but relatively idiot proof os.
Windows strength was it's compatibility with it's desktop windows os, multitasking and wide software availability. With this new os7 it has dumped multitasking and there will be no backwards compatibility with older software. This is a worry for all the medical software previously available for Wm6.5. I am sure there will be new software made for WP7s but it has to play catch up again. The interface looks interesting but no more interesting than the previous makeovers by HTC and other carriers to hide the wm6 interface.
Remember that a new iPhone is just around the corner waiting to blow everything else up.
