iPhone Os 3.13 Stops 3rd Party Chargers

Since updating to iPhone OS 3.13 I have had problems using my car charger and extended battery pack. I know that Apple has said it has made the battery charge indicator more accurate. What they did not say was that all your charging accesories would not work! I wouldn't mind if the iPhone 3GS or 3G had great battery life. But in reality it barely gets me through from 0700 to 1700.
So can't jailbreak and cannot use my accesories. I think I should have stuck with my iPhone 3G coz my 3GS is less flexible.
