The Power of the Internet!

As I blog, history is being made. The Barisan National is being whacked kow kow by the underdog, the Barisan Rakyat Opposition. Despite the money politics and total control of the media, the people have made their displeasure known. Key BN Strongholds are falling. Sami Vellu is going down, Sharizat, Khairi to follow. Penang has fallen back to the opposition. It is a dream, a dream of better governance of this beautiful country.
But there is a danger of unrest and unhappiness as the opposition is winning. Let the Barisan Rakyat be gracious and thankful to the people for their victories. Let us not go overboard in celebrating, but be mindful of the feelings of others. Let us show that we are humble and tolerant, less there be fights and scuffles.
I believe we are more mature now as a nation and not prone to anger. Let us put the specter of May 13th behind us. Let us show we have learnt our lesson and get down to building a great nation, one in which we can be proud to be called Malaysians.
