50,000 Strong Crowd at DAP Rally

This is pretty amazing. For one, it's just behind my apartment and 50k is a conservative estimate as cars were parked for 2 kilometers all around the Han Chiang School field . Secondly, there was no free makan, it rained for a while and thirdly Jeff Ooi's singing wasn't that great. Now if you know Penangites, we hate to park more than 10 feet from where we are supposed to go, and we hate rain and mud. We would rather be in Queensbay or Gurney Plaza or Tesco enjoying the air conditioning, or watching Astro at home. So for 50k people to turn up is a big thing, we might actually be seeing a wave of well informed voters this time.
I hope you don't mind me blogging about this so much, after all this is not a political blog. But this is the main thing happening in Penang at this moment. Tomorrow, the Penangites will vote!
