Just got it tonight and wow it is so small I was quite surprised. It is the size of a large hardcover book...wow! Ok tonight it is gonna be hard to sleep!

Wow doc...nice buy. Look forward to reading ur comments on EeePC. Presume it will running on Linux Unbuntu? Keen to know how fast is the start up and how user friendly as I am considering buying one for soon-to-go college daughter.

Hi agfoxx, so far it's quite a good small notebook. Linux is easy and simple to use. It is running Xandros Linux.
However for your daughter, I think a low end 14 inch notebook at rm2k is a better buy.
The eeepc is more of a small portable notebook, not very powerful, but very handy to have.
