Nowadays we are becoming like Hong Kong and Singapore. Reclaim land here and there and soon Penang won't be like a turtle anymore.

Still it is amazing how fast the reclamation takes. Basically they take the rocks and stones excavated from the aartments built by the hills and dump lorry loads in the sea. 1 square km was reclaimed in 3 weeks only.

However it does contaminate the water for a while. Maybe that's why all the small fish are dying around here.
