Recently a man who knew he had active PTB traveled by plane anyway.



"ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- A man infected with the extensively drug-resistant form of TB known as XDR TB knew he was not supposed to travel overseas but did so anyway, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Dr. Julie Gerberding told CNN's "American Morning" on Wednesday."



I remember I also diagnosed a salesman with active PTB. He had been coughing for months with marked loss of weight. The chest x ray showed active tb. I advised him to be admitted for treament ASAP. He refused and said he had to travel all over Malaysia to meet his sales deadlines. He then disappeared and who knows how may hundreds of people he infected because of his selfish reasons.
