Hair Conditioners

How Does a Conditioner Work?

Most conditioners fall into the category of surface acting conditioners. They are formulated to work on the outer layer or cuticle of the hair shaft. The hair shaft is composed of scales that become raised through general daily wear and tear and you will notice your hair becoming dull and lifeless the more these scales are raised. The hair will also lose some of it's elasticity which leads to breakage. A conditioner coats the strand, making the scales close against the shaft appearing smoother. This is why it is so important to condition your hair every time you shampoo. Simply a little added protection for your hair.

Doc : I was just wondering how it makes hair soft....
