Time to Upgrade?

My O2 Xda has served me well for 2 years and ut certainly is a workhorse. With the new batch of pocket pcs coming up, maybe its time to upgrade. But a exorbitant prices nearing 3k for a phone, a better investment would be a small laptop. Most of what I need is still handled well by this pda.
