Why it's better to be a tabib/sinseh than a doctor.

A tabib/sinseh can still call himself a "doctor" in chinese language.
A tabib/sinseh charges more than a registered medical doctor.
A tabib/sinseh need not spend time and money getting any recognised university degree.
A tabib/sinseh need not do housemanship and compulsory three year government service.
A tabib/sinseh can spew any nonsense which comes into his head and patients will just lap it up.
A tabib/sinseh can use any new-fangled device or contraption without scientific basis.
A tabib/sinseh can order lab investigations without a licence to practice medicine.
A tabib/sinseh can order XRay investigations without a licence to practice medicine.
A tabib/sinseh can issue Medical Certificates without a licence to practice medicine.
A tabib/sinseh need not base his treatment on any publications or research, or established guidelines or practice. In fact, he may even pride himself for being "the first one to come up with the concept."
A tabib/sinseh is not guilty of infamous conduct if consorts with Registered Medical Practitioners. In fact, it would be a feather in his cap if he does.
A tabib/sinseh need not fear any lawsuits filed by patients injured by their treatment - whoever heard of such a lawsuit in Malaysia - patients fear being regarded as stupid (rightly so too) if they sue the tabib/sinseh for damages.
A tabib/sinseh need not answer to any DG/MoH.
A tabib/sinseh need not have any grievance mechanism.
A tabib/sinseh can operate out of any premises which he likes.
A tabib/sinseh is not compelled by law to have his toilet door swing outwards.

I was reading this in the MMR forums...very funny, but almost too true.
