Saw a patient today with nice finger clubbing. His was congenital as he was otherwise well with no heart or lung problems. His father also has clubbing from birth.

Pardon my ignorance. What exactly is clubbing? A physical deform?

Clubbing is the drumstick like appearance of the tips of the fingers. It normally is a sign of heart or lung problems, but some people are just born with it. The guy was a malay, so far I have not noticed it that much in indians.
