Cars are so expensive...

In Penang, public transport is almost non-existent, so a reliable car is a neccesity. However a new sedan would cost from RM50-140000. Protons are the cheapest but buying any other car costs many times the average monthly wage. So I am looking for a good second hand car, but since I am pretty broke and between jobs, I'll just stick with my 20 year old Honda Accord.
