Releasing Baby Turtles in Pantai Kerachut

No, I was not in Trengganu, I was in Pantai Kerachut, Penang, one of the last unspoilt areas left. There is a small turtle sanctuary there where turtles have come to lay their eggs for the past 10 years. We were lucky enough to see the turtles hatch and then had the chance to release them into the sea.

A Discovery Channel moment in real life.

I wish Penang will be better managed to conserve what little wildlife we have left. Please do not throw plastic bags into the sea as the turtles mistake them for jelly fish and eat them, dying a slow death.

Penang is shaped like a turtle, let us give them a chance to survive.
