Mum Tech Support Problem No. 677 Today my mum's Treo went into a hotsync loop. Tried soft resets, tried cleaning the connections. Checked to see that there were no scheduled hotsyncs. So I need to escalate...coz my mum is getting grumpy tht she cannot check her emails. Can anyone help?

Can you get out of it with a warm reset? Press the Dap and hold UP with a reset
I mean the DPAD (gosh this Eee keyboard is really tiny :P )
My Palm knowledge goes back to actual Palm Pilot, I'm not that familiar with Treo's, but hope this helps.
It's usually worth reviewing the hotsync.log to see what's happening. Sometimes there is one conduit that's got itself confused. You may have to review the data in that particular section (contacts, calendar etc) and see what's tripping it up.
I had this happen on my Treo 700p. The "fix" for me was to let the device keep doing that until the battery ran down. That took about 24h (the phone was off), but it worked.
I also tried removing the battery entirely overnight (about 12h). That did not work for me, but I've heard other accounts of that working.
