Can Conjunctivitis be Spread Just by Looking at You?

Recently there has been a lot of cases of conjunctivitis. A common misconception is that it can be spread by just looking at you. I always say you are not Superman with special rays coming out from your eyes! It is commonly a viral conjunctivitis which is very infectious, hence the "old wives tale" or "cakap orang tua" that it is spread just by looking.

To prevent it, you have to wash your hands all the time before touching your eyes. Normally a person with conjunctivitis will always be rubbing his/her eyes and their hands or hanky will be filled with millions of infectious viruses.

So wash your hands and prevent conjunctivitis.
