It's strange that most Asians do not want their sick parents to know they have cancer. Doctor patient confidentiality is almost non-existent. Our parents and elderly are not stupid, they probably already know they have cancer. It's better to face the facts so that it's easier to plan for the future and to help the whole family deal with the situation.
