Getting the Old Road Tax Off

I found that methylated spirit and some gauze does a good job in melting away the old road tax.

I find leaving the car in the sun for a few hours. Let the windscreen warm up, makes removing the road tax much easier. Been doing it for 3 years now.my
How I do it (The instructions are on the back of our new registration sticker): Newspaper, soaked in water, wring out the excess, stick it to the back of the old sticker and cover it entirely. Leave it for 15 - 20 minutes. Old sticker peels away perfectly.
