Thoracic Scoliosis

Sometimes scoliosis aka.abnormal lateral curvature of the spine is not detected till late adult life. Our bodies compensate for it pretty well. However in later life there may be a higher risk for arthritis and disc prolapse.

Do the nurses check when they do their rounds in primary schools for the children's immunisation jabs? How does the parent know if the child does have this problem?

Yes the nurses do check, but sometimes it's difficult to pick up. I've been to those school checkups...when you have 200 screaming students to check you tend to miss things!

I wasn't diagonsed with scoliosis until I was seeing a doc because of a car accident that I just got in. And our bodies do compensate for it very well, I find getting a massage everyday in my massage chair really helps me deal and get ahead of pain.
