Penang Bombed...well a small one anyway

From the Sun newspaper :

"On Sunday, the 8.30pm explosion killed salesman Yeoh Kok Siew, 47, and injured another Wong Boon Tat, 66, who were watching a karaoke competition.
Yeoh had been waiting for his wife to finish work in the shopping complex at 10pm when the bomb placed at an electrical switchbox exploded.
Penang Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon issued an immediate statement during the public not to spread rumours and listen to claims of a bomb explosion.
Yesterday morning, Koh had to retract his statement after the police bomb disposal unit found bulet casings and more than 20 nails of various sizes within a 30m to 40m radius of the blast.
In a press conference called by Koh in his office yesterday morning, Syed Ismail said police believed the bomb could have been detonated by a pyrotechnic delay fuse which had been ignited earlier by the bombers.
"We believe the motive for the blast could be due to business rivalry, mischief or even as a threat to certain people."

Well I went shopping there yesterday..hopefully no more nail bombs will assail us. My condolences to those affected.
