Are Early Adopter's Stupid?

An interesting PdaThoughts article asks if buying the latest and greatese gadget is stupid. Basically the answer is YES...but we do it anyway.
"Why can't we wait a few months for a technology to become mature enough to be reliable and useful to the owner. PDAs suffer more from this than most products yet idiots like me still do it."

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
