hi, doctor. i'd like to know if during studying medicine course or when,do we have to be trained to sleep with dead body? i heard the medicine degree is very tough, may i know how tough is it? how did you solve the tough problem? how many years old for that time becoming a specialist? according what you have said in the blog is just the life during gov service? or even working in private hospital or our clinic, the life are also same as in gov service? those who want to be doctors must be very smart? may i know the basic salary or overall salary during housemanship and gov service, and the salary when becoming a specialist? what's the difference for those who study in the popular university and the least popular university? are the degree or certificate given the same? thanks for your answer. please reply me to my email : cando_cheng@yahoo.com
dear cando_cheng@yahoo.com,
trained to sleep with the dead body is not the worse thing in med school,....
in fact, you are simply trained not to sleep, and expect to perform in the best condition, or else, start losing lives,...
how tough is medical school, you cannot imagine,.. perhaps 20X tougher than STPM,... but that's not the end, there's again, life after graduation, or rather HELL after graduation, which could be like 50X tougher,... internship, doing masters, coping work and family, etc...
unless you really have to passion and motivation, or at least you strongly believe you can build it,.. unless that,... go for it then,...
to be a good doctor, easier said than done, probably one of the biggest sacrifies one might have made in life.. oh well....
still surviving in Hell...
someone's gotta do the job anyway

Hi! Great blog! I am going to be in form 1 next yr. I've been thinking abt wat do I want to do as my job when I grow up. Among one of them is being a doctor. But, bcoz I heard that the study process is quite long with lots of pressure, I am doubting it. Besides, some of my family members discouraged me to be one bcoz of the irregular times the doctors have to work. So... right now, I am really confused in choosing my future career that suits me. Hope to hear ur opinians. You can email me at nabilah_hqs96@yahoo.com. Thanks. :)
